Bessel goes green
Paving a greener future
At Bessel Contracting Company, quality and safety are core principles embedded in every aspect of our operations. We are committed to delivering projects that meet approved specifications, international standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements while protecting people, assets, and the environment.
Our Quality Management approach ensures consistent workmanship through controlled processes, inspections, and documentation at all project stages. Health and Safety are integral to our culture, supported by proactive risk assessments, site-specific safety procedures, and continuous workforce training to maintain a safe working environment.
We also prioritize environmental responsibility by minimizing waste, optimizing resource use, and complying with environmental regulations. Through continuous monitoring and improvement, Bessel delivers projects with uncompromising quality, safety, and compliance.
Quality management
Workmanship is controlled through approved ITPs, material receiving checks, in-process inspections, and documented punch close-out. Shop fabrication (HVAC duct, steel) is inspected before dispatch so site teams are not correcting factory errors in the field.
Health & safety
Each site gets a risk assessment and a specific safety plan: PTW for hot work and heights, lifting plans, isolation on live plants, and toolbox talks. Training is continuous so the workforce that starts the job is still competent at commissioning.
Environment
We minimise waste from fabrication offcuts, manage solvents and coatings, and dispose of construction waste through approved routes. Resource use — water, power, materials — is planned rather than left to site habit, and we improve methods from job to job.
QHSE In Practice
Before we start
Kick-off confirms drawings, specifications, and client HSE rules. Method statements and ITPs are submitted. Induction covers access, emergency assembly, and the permit system. Materials are not installed until certificates and submittals are accepted.
During the works
Supervisors enforce hold points: weld visual, pressure test, damper rating, pump alignment, asphalt compaction. Non-conformances are written, not negotiated away. Housekeeping and waste segregation stay part of daily close-out.
At handover
O&M information, as-builts, test certificates, and training for operators are compiled. Fire systems are presented in a condition that can be inspected by Civil Defense. Snags are closed against a dated list.
After handover
Where we retain maintenance — HVAC TAB, duct cleaning, fire-system servicing — the same records continue so the asset does not drift out of compliance in the first year of operation.
