07 — External works

Industrial roads, yards, and parking built as an engineered pavement

Pavement fails when the base is weak, drainage is ignored, or laying is treated as a cosmetic overlay. Bessel builds roads, parking, and industrial yards as a specified build-up: preparation, grading, base, compaction, laying, and finishing.

Saudi heat and truck loading are design inputs, not afterthoughts. Joints, levels, and falls are set to drain away from buildings and plant. Repair and resurfacing are offered where full reconstruction is not required, matching existing levels.

External works often sit next to our steel shade and civil packages — parking lots that receive both asphalt and canopies are sequenced so foundations and pavement do not fight each other.

Crew finishing a newly laid asphalt surface

Typical applications

Asphalt is specified for industrial and campus circulation, not only municipal roadworks.

  • Plant roads, yards, and truck courts
  • Parking areas associated with shade structures
  • Campus and commercial access roads
  • Repair and overlay of failed existing asphalt

Detailed scope of work

Each layer is inspected before the next is placed.

Build-up

  • Site preparation, setting-out, and grading
  • Base course supply, placement, and compaction
  • Asphalt laying, joints, and finishing

Remedial works

  • Milling, repair, and resurfacing
  • Level matching to existing structures and drainage
  • Reinstatement after buried-service works

Standards, method & records

Compaction and thickness are checked against the specification. Work is not covered if the base is pumping or the grade is wrong.

Weather windows in KSA still matter for laying temperature. We plan pours and laying around the plant’s access so emergency routes are not blocked without agreement.

What you receive
